This year homework will be set using online platforms. Each week, children will be given a Maths and English focussed activity to complete. Task details will be provided on class dojo each Friday and will need to be completed by the following Thursday.
Should your child have any access problems please let me know at the start of the week. In the event that a solution is not found, time can be arranged for work to be completed in school during lunch times.
Children will be introduced to 10 new spellings per week. Over the course of the week, children will have a spelling lesson where they will learn the specific spelling skills, for example recognising spelling patterns. These spellings will be posted on dojo to enable additional practise at home before our spelling test on Thursday.
Please see below for a list of the Year 3/4 Common exception words.
Each week, all students are required to complete their assigned units on Lexia. We recommend that students access Lexia 3 times per week for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Reading is vital to your child's educational development. All children should engage in 15 minutes of reading daily. It will greatly support your child's comprehension if you can ask them a few questions about what they have read and support them to find the answers in the text.
Due to COVID -19 there will be no clubs running during Autumn term. We will continue to the review this during the school year.
