This term we are following the theme of 'All About Me!' We will read lovely books such as Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Peace at Last, Oliver's Fruit Salad and Lucy's Picture. As we settle in we will learn about where things are kept in our Nursery and how to use all the wonderful resources! We will have new routines, new friends and new teachers!

It's good fun to learn about our body parts - and we do this by singing songs such as 'Heads, shoulders, knees and toes' and 'One little finger!'

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you have had a lovely Christmas break and we are really looking forward to an exciting 2017! This half term (Spring 1), we will be exploring the theme of 'Colour'. We will be reading the stories of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, The Blue Balloon, The Red Ripe strawberry, The Rainbow Fish and we will be meeting Pete the Cat and his White shoes!

We will be continuing to focus our attention on small groups and become good speakers and listeners. We will be working on developing our 'funky fingers' getting ready for writing! We will have an exciting time learning about Chinese New Year, trying the food, chopsticks, noodles, dancing, clothes and the music!

In maths, we will begin to use mathematical names for 2D shapes and we will be describing a circle as 'it has no straight sides'.

We will be welcoming our new friends who will be joining the Nursery in January and being kind and helpful to them. As you can see, we will be very busy and will let you know via SeeSaw all the many ways you can support your child's learning this term.
