Dear Parents and Carers
Please help us to keep all our children safe by thinking carefully about where you park your car when dropping off and picking up from school.
I understand that it can be difficult getting children in school on time in the morning, but my priority has to be for the safety of the children.
It has been brought to my attention again that there has been another near miss with a child today on Ambleside. Please don't let this be you or your child, please park safely away from the entrance to school to enable traffic to flow and enable children who are walking to see and be seen by passing motorists.
Residents of Kendal House have also requested that the entrance to their parking spaces are kept clear.
Unfortunately the school car park is very, very restricted in terms of spaces and should not be used for pick and drop off at busy times: between 8:30 am and 9:15 am and between 3 pm and 3:30 pm. This is also to ensure there are safe routes for children walking in and out of school.
If you do use the car park at other times e.g. to drop of for breakfast club, please do not park or drop off in disabled bays. We have at least two children in school who require disabled access as well as staff and Governors / volunteers with Blue Badges.
Thank you for your help in keeping all our children safe.
